Pair Of Silver Cruets, France Circa 1819-1838
A pair of silver cruets resting on a circular pedestal, with a wide, smooth, repoussé body, each engraved respectively with the letter "A" for the cruet intended for holy water, and with the letter "V" for the one intended for wine. The cruets are fitted with a wide spout and have no lids. The handle, in the shape of a crosier, is decorated with a rosette; The neck is gathered by a collar with a rope motif. France, 1819–1838, Parisian work. 950/1000 silver, Paris hallmark. Master silversmith: Jean-Ange-Joseph Loque. Height: 13 cm Width: 5.5 cm Weight: 211 g Good condition.
