Silver Vegetable Dish / Broth Bowl, France, Circa 1830
Flat-bottomed silver vegetable and broth pot. The neck and rim of the lid are adorned with fluting. Two side handles are decorated with palmette-shaped clasps.
The lid, slightly domed in the center, is decorated with a radiating corolla of godrons and topped with a screw-on handle featuring a godronned arch. The body and lid are engraved with a guilloché coat of arms featuring a boar’s head and a lion passant.

Master silversmith’s mark stamped on the base and on the reverse of the lid: Eugène Delebois, 25 rue Harlay, Paris, active from 1827 to 1842. His hallmark is reproduced on p. 124 of Répertoire des poinçons des fabricants, 1798–1838 by Catherine Arminjon (ISBN: 2-1108-1146-3).
