Silver And Crystal Drageoir
A silver and crystal drageoir from the Restoration period, made between 1815 and 1825.
The lid and the fretel are made of crystal
It is in the form of a Medici vase on a foot engraved with palmettes, resting on 4 claw feet under a square base with a crystal bowl set in a chased silver mount.
The drageoir is decorated of motifs representing seated children and another motif in the shape of a lyre richly adorned with foliage, the bottom of this lyre being engraved with 2 medallions enclosing human faces.
The handles are in the form of cornucopias overflowing with fruit.
