Large Wine Tasting Cup, Sterling, Goldsmith Tm & Old Man, Center Of France, Early 19thc

Beautiful model, very wide and well handed, here is a beautiful, wine tasting cup, called in French : tastevin. In solid silver, well hallmarked, it is decorated in chasing with flower motifs and garlands of grapes, the underside with a ribbed border. Wide rim to prevent wine from spilling out. The rolling snake, as usual, serving as a handle.
Marking of the owner "E.COSTREJEANT"
Good general condition, some slight dents, nothing serious. The item will need to be cleaned.
Sterling silver, old man's mark, second provincial title, and maker's mark "TM" and crescent moon.
French working dating from the first part of the 19th century, between 1819 and 1838..probably from the center of France.
Dimensions: diameter 9.5cm, with handle 11.5cm. Height 4cm. Weight 98g
