Silver Teapot, France Circa 1900, Debain Silversmith
A silver teapot, embossed and chased, resting on four gadrooned feet adorned with foliage. The body, with its bulbous and multi-lobed rim, has a slightly flared neck, ending in a pronounced band decorated with four foliate appliqués. It features a gadrooned spout and a crosier-shaped handle with a thumb rest. The hinged, domed lid is surmounted by a finial in the shape of hazelnuts. Made of 950/1000 silver, with the Minerva hallmark. Maker's mark: Alphonse Debain, circa 1900, Paris. Dimensions: Height: 23.8 cm Diameter: 14.5 cm Length: 26 cm Weight: 741 g Capacity: 1.6 liters. Very good condition. Note: a few minor dents on the raised parts of the body.
