19th Bronze Sculptue Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte After Pradier
Bronze sculpture depicting Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, after the original by James Pradier. Date: second half of the 19th century.
This statue of the emperor was commissioned from Charles-Émile Seurre to adorn the Vendome column. Pradier had been contracted to produce smaller editions through his foundry, Susse. Ours was made in the second half of the 19th century, after Pradier's, but is still of excellent quality. It has its original yellow marble base. Slight oxidation on the toes.
