Robert Falcucci was a 20th-century French painter and illustrator.
He was introduced to drawing and painting by Cécile Cavaille-Coll (1854–1944), a painter and designer. In 1919, he served in the military in Paris.
Discharged too late from military service, he entered the École des Beaux-Arts competitions. He was accepted into the Galeries des Beaux-Arts and admitted to the École Normale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In Paris, he met Emmanuel Cavaille-Coll (1860–1922), Cécile's brother, a renowned illustrator and watercolorist. Thanks to his great skills as an illustrator, he devoted himself to advertising graphics, working for the Renault automobile manufacturer and the fashion designer Paul Poiret; In the 1930s, he illustrated the program for the Monte Carlo Rally; in the 1940s, he participated in Atelier 4; in the 1950s, he decorated the first Caravelle; and in the 1960s, he designed the decorations for the Boeing 707. Although a master graphic artist, he was also an excellent painter with a highly distinctive style: cloudy and colorful, in stark contrast to his bold graphic lines.
