Bronze hilt with traces of silvering. Single-branch guard. Vertical oval quillon. Molded pommel with raised gadroons, short tang with traces of silvering, wooden grip. Curved blade, flat back with Soligen's signature "fleur" (flower), fuller-sided with engravings of trophies of arms and gilt flowers on a blued ground, slight traces of oxidation. Original sword knot. Black leather scabbard with four brass mounts. France. Consulate - First Empire. Sold as is, straight from the house. Length of the weapon: 92 cm.
