A Large Biscuit Porcelain Coffee Cup With Polychrome And Raised Gilding - Paris Porcelain Circa 1820
Artist: Porcelaine De Paris
A beautiful Parisian porcelain cup dating from the Empire/Restoration period, circa 1820. It is made of polychrome biscuit porcelain (for a matte finish) and glazed porcelain (for a glossy finish). The beautiful and rich decoration of friezes and fruit trophies, highlighted with gold, stands out against a white background. Our cup is the work of a prestigious Parisian manufacturer of high quality – Dagoty, Nast, Darte; unfortunately, the absence of a signature prevents certain identification of the manufacturer. A beautiful collector's piece, it is in very good condition; some minor wear to the gilding. Saucer diameter: 13 cm. Cup diameter: 6 cm. Cup height: 6.2 cm.
