Nast Manufacture, Empire Period Sauce Boat With Lioness Heads - Paris Porcelain Gilded With Fine Gold

A Parisian porcelain sauce boat and lid from the Empire period, embellished with fine gold trim. A beautiful piece, with a palmette finial on the lid and lioness head handles on the sides. It bears the monogram FA. Early 19th century, circa 1810-1820. Our piece is unsigned, but we also offer an identical sauce boat (with a different gilding) which bears the signature of the Nast factory in Paris, in iron red. Established in Paris in 1784, the Nast factory operated until 1830, supplying French high society and several European courts. In very good condition, with no damage or minor wear to the gilding.
