Paul René Schutzenberger trained at the Académie Julian under Jean Paul Laurens. He exhibited at the SAF from 1889, at the Salon des Indépendants from 1902, and at the SNBA from 1906. His drawings are in a Japonisme style, close to that of the Nabis artists. Studio stamp lower right.
