Titled on the back: "The Pergola in Square Joffre in Asnières". Charles BETOUT (1869-1945) was a French theatrical costume designer, a collaborator of Charles Bianchini. He designed costumes for the Paris Opera from 1905 to 1907 and was then head costume designer for the Comédie-Française between 1919 and 1939.
