Solid Silver Travel Kit, Late 18th - Early 19th Century.

A superb little travel kit made entirely of silver, containing various silver and metal instruments. It dates from the late 18th or early 20th century.

It includes:

Tweezers that also serve as a file and toothpick

A pair of scissors
Two nesting handles onto which screw:

A rounded blade

A pointed blade

A corkscrew

An awl

A two-pronged fork

Four slots are empty of their instruments.

The instruments screw securely onto the handles.

The case is not hallmarked but has been tested with a touchstone.

A superb case made of silver, whose brilliance accentuates its charm and preciousness. It is also a moving testament to the art of living in the 18th and 19th centuries.
