Bronze Mantel Clock, French Restoration Period, Movement Dated 1827.
Large pendulum clock on a Siena marble base with a patinated bronze frieze and a large, fully sculpted representation of a bearded man, his index finger resting on his temple. His other hand rests freely on the pommel of a sword. The movement bears the inscription "Gold Medal, Pons 1827".
