Baroque Snake Cabinet, First Half Of The 18th Century

A large Baroque cabinet with sinuous lines, chamfered corners and a flat, richly molded projecting cornice. The cabinet stands on five baluster feet. Its characteristic wavy front is veneered in walnut on a spruce back. The profiled rose and lock are in brass. The interior is divided into two compartments, each fitted with four shelves. The surface has been hand-polished.
