"Frans Smeers, Oil On Panel "
His real name was François Émile Isidore Léopold Smeers (1873-1960). A Belgian painter and draftsman, he was a co-founder of the artistic movement "Le Sillon" (1893-1926). He was a member and professor at the Royal Academy of Sciences, Letters and Fine Arts of Belgium. His works can be found in various museums, and he participated in numerous exhibitions in Brussels, Barcelona, London, Geneva, Munich, Paris, Venice, and elsewhere.
