Vietnam, first half of the 19th century, Nguyen Dynasty, superb lacquered wooden Buddha depicted seated on a lotus base in the dhyana-mudra position, associated with a deep state of meditation. Beautiful dark patina, still showing areas decorated with copper leaf. A very high-quality piece. Dimensions: Height 16.2 cm. The scale reference in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand. Good condition apart from slight wear and the presence of normal cracks for its age, which do not detract from its aesthetic appeal.
