"Medici Vase, 18th Century. "
This very beautiful vase is made of sheet metal and painted with a superb hunting scene in gold on a black background. The decoration wraps around the body, depicting several horsemen heading towards a dwelling, having just finished hunting, accompanied by foot soldiers carrying a stag on a stretcher. The base of the vase is painted with long leaves interspersed with flower buds. The whole piece rests on a small pedestal and a square base. This vase was once electrified; we have dismantled the system, which we found to be of little interest. It must have had a lid, which was lost during the electrification process. 18th century. Height 41 cm.
