Watercolor on paper, 35 cm x 30 cm, preserved under glass and sold with its frame, 53 cm x 49 cm, signed lower left and dated 1944. Very good condition. Sold with invoice/certificate. Fast and careful shipping. Jean Helleu is the second son of the painter Paul Cesar Helleu. An exhibitor at the major Parisian Salons, particularly the Tuileries, he was appointed an official painter of the French Navy in 1945.
