Bernard Louédin (1938–), French painter, sculptor, illustrator, and printmaker. Bernard began his artistic career at a very young age in Rennes, where he held his first exhibition in 1963. He rubbed shoulders with artists such as Pierre Gilles, Xavier de Langlais, and Roger Chapelain-Midy.
Based in Trébeurden, his influence extends far beyond Brittany—to Paris, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, and Canada. Bernard Louédin’s remarkable work has also been the subject of monographs, films, press articles, and private and public acquisitions.
