Studied at the Moscow Academy, studying with C. Korovine, A. Archipov and N.Kassatkine until 1920. Awarded the Prix de Rome. Leonid FrechkoptoParis in 1921, then settled permanently in Brussels in 1922. Hecreates sets for the Antwerp theater, and opera sets. Linkedto the artistic and intellectual milieu of the time, until1930, his work was associated with the New Objectivity movement.
Works in the Musée d'Ixelles, the Cabinet des Estampes de Bruxelles.
