Allegory of the Third Estate in boxwood carved in the round. A figure dressed in breeches and a jacket, standing on an oak stump, wears a convict's ball and chain, emblazoned with a fleur-de-lis, suspended from his left wrist. A crown, a cross, and a military collar rest on the chain. An eagle perches on the figure's shoulder, its right talon resting on the chain. From the stump, adorned with an oak branch and acorns, hangs a purse with a quill pen and a scroll bearing the initials BMG S TP M. The date 1792 is engraved beneath the figure's left foot. Late 18th century, 1792. Height: 12.2 cm - Total Height: 18.5 cm - Width: 3.8 cm - Depth: 3.5 cm (minor losses, small damage, and restorations)
