A solid silver jardinière, oval in shape, rests on a gently scalloped base. The symmetrically organic body is decorated with stylized shells and foliage against a matte background.
The cartouche on either side is open for engraving.
It is completed with its silver-plated lining, which has lost some of its silvering.

Produced in the late 19th to early 20th century.
