"Hand Candlestick, Silver, Paris, 1742"
Silver hand candlestick, it rests on a stick, the cup is circular, the edge molded with fillets, the binet with bulges is also molded with fillets that recall those of the cup, the winding socket ends with a large shell, Paris 1742 - 1743. Weight 186g. Condition, good, traces of use and slight deformations, it is in its own juice with its period patina. The hallmark of the master goldsmith is not legible, the hallmarks overlap. The period plug is not punched. It is hallmarked inside the binet. This candlestick is quite early before 1750 and heavy. The screen on the last picture is for sale in my gallery. Rare.
