Hunting shotgun known as a "one-eyed" shotgun - France, Paris, late 19th century - Category D. A fine firearm of exceptional craftsmanship. Made by Brun, gunsmith at 110 rue de Rivoli in Paris at the end of the 19th century. Side-by-side Damascus steel barrels. External hammers. 16 gauge centerfire. Stock made of fine wood, for a right-handed shooter whose dominant eye is left. A rubber butt pad was added during the 20th century. Impeccable mechanics. The butt sling swivel is missing, the barrel bluing is slightly worn in places, and there are a few scratches on the wood, otherwise in very good condition for its age of over 130 years.
