French School Circa 1930/40 : Fresco Project III "the Harvest"

French School, circa 1930/40: Fresco Project I : "The Grape Harvest," charcoal and sanguine on paper, 106 x 96 cm, squared.
On several sheets joined together, with discoloration due to glue at the joints, numerous peripheral tears, slightly sun-faded.
An ambitious project for an allegory of the grape harvest, depicting a grape harvester carrying his son, who reaches out to his mother as she gives him grapes, accompanied by a young boy with a basket.
One of the three projects is noted "Malric being mayor," suggesting these could be fresco designs for the Town Hall or a community hall in Rabastens, Tarn, where Ernest Malric was mayor at the time.
