Salaün (19th century): “Portrait of a young soldier”, oil on fine canvas 22 X 14.5 cm, mounted in a damaged German gilding frame 33 X 26 cm. Despite a very oxidized varnish, we can distinguish the extremely fine touch that depicts this handsome young man whose identity we do not know. I could not find anything on the author either, except that it is a name of Breton origin (Salomon in Breton). Do not hesitate to ask us by mail or telephone for additional information or photos. We have many objects and paintings to restore in our shop / shambles / depot in Pau where I let myself be invaded a little and for which we prefer selling on site, preferably in lots.
