I Rene-marie Castaing : "study Of A Blonde Woman"

I René-Marie Castaing (1896-1943) : "Portrait of a blonde woman", pastel 38 X 27 cm, presented under neutral pH mat 80 X 60 cm. First Grand Prix de Rome 1924, the immense artist excelled particularly in works on paper: charcoals, pastels or gouaches. If I never met him for obvious reasons of dates, his birthplace was just opposite the Galerie de Pau! With a sensitivity that allowed him to capture the soul of his models, he delivers here a face that seems to emerge from the paper, marked by a certain melancholy. We permanently present works by this artist and outside of this collection, you can also see other studies. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone. Other photos and many other objects in our shops in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
