French School Circa 1910 : Pastel "tank Descent"

French school circa 1900/10: "Descent of the chariot", pastel 44 X 29 cm, mounted in a black and gold NIII frame 77 X 53 cm (small accidents). In addition to being squared, certainly intended for enlargement, perhaps for a fresco that it will eventually be possible to find, this drawing suffered from the boredom of a kid who, being bored, had fun drawing lines of perforations at the tip of the compass! He shows us a young woman descending from an antique chariot where there are many companions, some wearing the great beret of the rapins of the time, which makes me think of a disguised party like "Bal des Quat'Zarts » which celebrated in an unbridled way the end of the year of study… Quite close to artists like Chéret or Grün.
