Very Large Painting : "the Temple Of The Idole"

Sometimes I can surprise myself : what did it take for me to buy this picture too big to be displayed in the gallery ?
That said, I love it !
His kitsch side with this Russo-Assyrian priest at the feet of which kneels a beautiful young woman in a coat sumptuously embroidered in a crypt sanctuary of an idol in front of which burns propitiatory flames, the serpent that wraps around a vase, the oculus illuminating the vaulted crypt from which hangs a huge pearl that lets see symbols by transparency ...
In short, I have for two years in front of my office in the back shop of Pau and always discover new details.
Of course the artist, probably fearing a psychiatric internment (in my company!), Has abstained from signing to my dismay and suddenly, I do not know everything about his biography, but he is quite close to artists like Bettencourt or some georgian surrealists.
Circa 1950/60, treated with oil on panel reinforced by a frame 177 X 124 cm approximately, it is presented in a black frame a little used by place which puts it nevertheless well worth 189 X 134 cm.
