"Large Silver And Vermeil Chalice - 19th Century "
This chalice features a rich and harmonious rocaille decoration including three radiant cherubs in high relief, acanthus leaves, and shells. An Armenian inscription on the base indicates that this chalice was presented to the Church of the Holy Cross in 1876. It measures 27 cm in diameter and weighs 539 grams. It is in good condition – the cup is slightly tilted.
An Armenian work from the 19th century. Like most Armenian chalices of this period, this piece is unmarked.
