Chalice In Chased Silver-gilt Adorned With Cabochons Of Colored Stones - 19th Century
A beautiful solid silver piece from the second half of the 19th century. The polylobed foot is engraved with "The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh" (John 7:37). The cup bears a second verse from John: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." The knot is embellished with set semi-precious stones. In very good condition.
