A set of three Venetian mirrors with carved and gilded linden wood frames, dating from the 18th century. The violin-shaped mirrors are delicately carved with foliate scrolls. Each frame is carved with a different female mask in the center, surmounted by a flaky shell. The mirrors and mercury-filled frames are original and in good condition (one main mirror has been replaced). The original gold leaf gilding is also in good condition (with some old restorations and touch-ups). The wrought iron mounting system and backings are original. Originally, this was a set of reflecting mirrors, each with its own light arm. Venetian work from the late 18th century.
