Beauvais tapestry medallion in wool and silk representing Alexander the Great in armor enhanced with a red cape, his helmet adorned with a laurel wreath is surmounted by a sphinx. Beautiful state of preservation of the colors. This fragment of tapestry is presented in a Louis XVI period 18th century woodwork frame in ivory white lacquered oak carved with large rosettes at the corners.
