"18th-century Chinese Porcelain Potpourri"
A round white porcelain vase, Qianlong period, second half of the 18th century, decorated with polychrome figures, mounted as a potpourri. The mount is in chased and gilded bronze, consisting of an openwork triangular base supported by three gilded bronze feet bearing the vase, which is decorated with ivy and poppy flowers. The lid has been restored; this is an old Chinese teapot remounted as a potpourri at the end of the 18th century.
