Very Beautiful Silver Pocket Watch With A Rooster Motif By Lebeissclier Of Briquebec And Its Chain, Late 18th Century
Artist: Lebeissclier
Beautiful Norman pocket watch with a rooster escapement, signed Lebeissclier of Biquebec, dating from the late 18th century, with chain and key. This antique Directoire-era pocket watch is well-preserved, and both the regulator and the transmission chain are in place. I haven't dared wind it, but I think a cleaning and check would be beneficial, even though it is clean and well-preserved. The enamel dial with Arabic numerals is impeccable for this lovely collector's watch in its beautiful, undamaged case. Signed on the front and on the movement plate. A very pleasing piece, preserved from the ravages of time.
