Two-piece Oak Sideboard
A Regency period buffet in solid oak, originating from the Île-de-France region, dating from the early 18th century. This emblematic piece of furniture from the Regency period is distinguished by its harmonious proportions, architectural balance, and the elegant restraint of its decoration, characteristic of the transition between the Louis XIV style and the beginnings of Louis XV. The molded panels with their scalloped edges, the softened lines, and the discreet carved ornaments attest to high-quality joinery. Made entirely of oak, this buffet has retained all its original parts: structure, panels, joinery, as well as its beautiful antique patina, which has been carefully preserved. The front opens with doors and drawers, offering generous and functional storage space, true to the use of this type of furniture in the 18th century. The piece has undergone a complete restoration in our workshops, carried out in strict accordance with traditional techniques: consolidation of the joints, cleaning and restoration of the surfaces, and maximum preservation of the original material and patina. No alterations have been made, thus guaranteeing its absolute authenticity. A rare two-part Regency buffet, both decorative and functional, ideal for a classic interior or for adding a strong historical presence to a more contemporary setting.
