Charles Soulacroix (1825-1899) French sculptor and painter, father of Frédéric Soulacroix. Active in the 19th century, he notably produced religious frescoes (for example in Boulogne-sur-Mer) and more classical genre paintings, sometimes confused with those of his son. Under number 134 for the Nevers exhibition in 1871 and under the title "young boy", this recently reframed sheet has come down to us with a crease. Signed and dated.
