17th Century Period Mirror
An elegant antique mirror from the 17th century, with a rectangular molded wooden frame, richly veneered in burr wood with deep, warm grain, highlighted by a particularly attractive antique patina. The frame is adorned with finely chased bronze plaques and spandrels, placed at the corners and in the middle of the crossbars, with foliate and floral decoration in very fine relief, characteristic of 17th-century decorative ornamentation. Beveled mercury mirror. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
