Tetradrachm for the Kingdom of Macedonia: Antigonus Gonatas. 273/271 BC. Mint: Amphipolis. Obverse: Macedonian shield decorated with seven stars between two circles; in the center, the head of Pan. Reverse: Athena Alkidemos, merchant facing left, helmeted and draped with the aegis; brandishing a thunderbolt in her right hand and holding a shield in her left. A Macedonian helmet at her feet and a monogram in the field to the right. Shield with a Medus head in profile. Very Fine condition with a medal patina.
