The IRISÉE rug is a creation of the Robert Four Manufactory, woven on a digital Jacquard loom in the Néolice Workshops in Felletin, in the heart of the Aubusson region. Since taking over these workshops in 2022, the manufactory has perpetuated a tradition of excellence by combining technical innovation with meticulous craftsmanship.
The Néolice process allows for exceptionally fine weaving, preserving the look and feel of a handmade tapestry, while meeting the challenges that traditional industrial weaving cannot. The design is distinguished by its elegant and highly decorative composition. A stylized female figure, rendered in flowing lines and simplified forms, is set within a space structured by a graphic border.
Floral motifs and decorative accents, combined with a play of flat colors, evoke a revisited Art Deco aesthetic, blending sensuality, geometry, and poetry. The color palette, dominated by warm pinks, deep blues, and seafoam greens, lends the rug a refined and timeless atmosphere.
Thanks to its Jacquard weave, IRISÉE is a fine, lightweight, low-pile rug that is particularly elegant. Its suppleness and lightness allow it to be used on the floor or displayed on the wall, like a tapestry, fully showcasing its design and artistic dimension.
Each creation from Ateliers Néolice comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by the Robert Four Manufactory, specifying the place and technique of production as well as the artist or their heir who created the design. IRISÉE thus remains a unique, decorative, and singular rug, a testament to contemporary textile expertise rooted in the great French tradition.

Condition : Used : There is wear along the edges, the wool is slightly disturbed in places, and several light stains blend harmoniously into the design. Significant discoloration of the blue background is also visible, revealing purplish hues in some areas.
These alterations do not detract from the aesthetic quality of the work and contribute to its unique and lived-in character.
