This Louis XIII style walnut table is similar to the small cabaret tables of the Canton of Valais in Switzerland. It rests on four turned wooden legs joined by an X-shaped stretcher, in the center of which is a spindle. The base dates from the 17th century, while the tabletop was remade in the 19th century to accommodate a needlepoint tapestry from the Napoleon III period, decorated in polychrome with a floral motif. The drawer has also been modified. Good overall condition. 19th century. Tabletop dimensions: 77 cm x 56 cm, height 70 cm.
