A Rare Pair Of Palace Candlesticks. Tuscany, Mid-17th Century.

A pair of large wooden candlesticks painted with carved representations of triumphant cherubs holding a garland, six per candlestick, each resting on a tripod base. Such striking furnishings were placed in the state rooms of the most noble palaces, and in this case, we believe they were made in Tuscany during the 17th century.
These measurements are 158cm x 86cm x 86cm; to these measurements must be added the upper brackets, which are approximately 20cm.
