Rare 18th-century Breton round silver platter with a rimmed border. The rim is engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a Marquis's crown. Hallmarks for Rennes 1781-82 and the maker's mark of silversmith Jean Loison (a hallmark with the initials "JL" divided by an ermine with a crowned fleur-de-lis and two dots), registered in 1744.
