The champlevé silver dial features Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. The hands are burnished steel.
The superb gilt brass movement has a verge escapement, chain, fusee, and an exceptional mainplate and balance cock entirely decorated with birds, foliage, and flowers.
The case is plain silver, and the outer case is double-layered tortoiseshell, entirely studded with silver.
