18K gold pocket watch with hour and quarter-hour repeater and chronograph function, manufactured by "E. Mathey Tissot, Ponts de Martel."
Dated around 1900.
Mathey-Tissot is a historic Swiss watch brand founded in 1886 by Edmond Mathey-Tissot in Ponts-de-Martel.
The brand has a glorious history, initially specializing in complicated pocket watches with repeater and chronograph functions.
During World War I and World War II, it supplied precision chronographs to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the British Army. In the 1950s and 1960s, Mathey-Tissot was among the companies that produced the famous Type 20 chronograph for the French Air Force.
Stamped 18K yellow gold savonette case with a guilloché pattern; case back engraved with “Repetition à quarts E. Mathey Tissot N°20627 Ponts et Martel.”
Good condition.

The watch is equipped with a high-quality movement featuring an anchor escapement, as well as hour and quarter-hour repeater and chronograph functions.
The chronograph function is activated by pressing a side button.
The repeater function is activated by a side lever.
White enamel dial in excellent condition with Roman numerals.
Original Louis XV-style hands.
The watch is in excellent condition and chimes very well.
