Antique Iron Mechanical Toy From The 1920s, Happy Jack & Happy James
Antique iron mechanical toy from the 1920s known as 'Happy Jack & Happy James' produced in Germany probably by Wilhem Krauss.
The object is a hand-cranked automaton depicting hand-painted male iron figures (Jack and James) with jointed legs and hips that perform a dance movement when the movement has begun.
The toy is complete with its original case in the shape of a small pressed cardboard theater with wood-effect veins and rests on an ebonized wooden base.
There is a glass in the front and a crank on the side to operate the movement.
The toy can also be connected to a steam engine.
Dimensions: 16x10 H.16CM
