Pair Of Large Louis XVI Style Medallion Armchairs, Lacquered Wood, 20th Century
Pair of Louis XVI style armchairs with medallion backs, made in the second half of the 20th century. These beautiful chairs are distinguished by their wide, enveloping seats and exceptional comfort thanks to thick, removable, and extremely plush cushions. Such a wide seat is quite rare for this type of chair. The woodwork of these armchairs has been limed in a "shabby chic" style with greenish-gray tones, and the fabric features a small checkered pattern. The upholstery has been recently redone, and traces of the old upholstery tacks are still visible in places on the frames. A lovely set in good condition.
