Pair of molded and painted beech armchairs, with a flat rectangular back, baluster armrest supports and resting on tapered front legs with rings and sabre-shaped rear legs. Labels inscribed in ink: Compiègne Petites Ecuries / N°1 / Cabinet de Travail / 2 armchairs and 2 armchairs / 447; Numbers in ink: C 10212 and C458; crowned CP fire mark. Accidents and restorations. Late 18th century. H: 92 cm, W: 60 cm
Provenance: Château de Compiègne at the end of the 18th century and in the 19th century.
