"Pair Of Late 18th Century Vases"
Pair of vases in white Carrara marble and red Campan griotte marble with serpent handles. The gilt bronze ornamentation is particularly notable for the two intertwined serpent handles. The egg-shaped vase rests on a trumpet foot decorated with a frieze of water leaves that follows the curve of the body, as well as two cable friezes. A row of bronze beads below the neck echoes the water leaves around the rim.
